Created from objects found along the shoreline of Lake Michigan on Labor Day weekend, 2022. Over the course of a couple of days I rode my bike 72 miles back and forth from two Chicago beaches and found an unusually large number of Monarch Butterflies that hadn't made their way out of town. High winds and stormy waters might have contributed. It was brought to my attention that this is the fate of many migrants; not everyone makes it to their final destination.
