In the summer of 2022, while the City of Chicago's annual Air & Water Show was in full force, a friend of mine posted his complete and total disdain for the event on Facebook, which spurred a comment from another friend who lamented that all of the noise from the Blue Angels - those uber-fast jets that fly over the city neighborhoods all weekend - were ruining his nap. This made me laugh, and it also inspired me to sit down and compose something that characterized many Chicagoans' feelings about the event.
