In October of 2020 I rode my bike to the dunes, parked and walked down to the shore. I immediately realized I wasn't going to find any of the usual junk because the beach had been well cared-for, but I did immediately find a really stunning autumn leaf. And then another. By the time I walked about 100 yards I had a fistful and I wanted to capture them in a photo right there on the beach, but the wind was really blowing, so I grabbed as many little round pebbles as I could find and used them to weigh down the leaves.
