Until recently, when I went through the case of sunglasses I keep in my storage room, I hadn't realized that I had so many broken pieces, many of which were from really cool sunglasses. I knew they'd come in handy, eventually, and this was my first attempt to gather them together and make something beautiful. Most of these pieces are called the "arms" and that's where the title came from. "These Arms of Mine" was the first big hit for soul man Otis Redding.
